Knock-Knock is a licensed Family Daycare located on 63rd and Manitoba. When I went to see this daycare for the first time, I instantly loved it! The caregiver is a wonderful person, she REALLY CARES about children, and I emphasize on this because sadly I didn't have the same impression with any other caregiver/daycare I went to see. The caregiver is always happy and positive, and has a lot of energy. Her 2 younger daughters are adorable, and love playing and helping with the children as well. She is educated, loving, and dedicated to her work. Her daycare is clean, organized, fun, with lots of indoor and outdoor play AND, one of our most favourite things, there is a music instruments' section! She has a piano, which she plays and let the kids play too! Our son, was the biggest piano fan! Unfortunately and very sadly, we had to leave this daycare as my new job was too far from it. I could write pages and pages of good things about this daycare, but for now I will just say that Knock-Knock offers excellent quality care for your children in a respectful, loving and fun environment.06.04.11 3.38PM

My 19th month old attends Knock Knock daycare (one of 4 children ranging in age 19 months - 31 months. This is a fabulous daycare based on the main floor of well lit large house. There is a bedroom for the children, a large bathroom and eat in kitchen and a cover deck out the back so they can play year round (at the digression of the caregiver of course). In the front of the house is a fenced in yard with age appropriate outdoor toys and a small garden - all are utilized for playing and learning. The care giver (name with held due to respect for privacy) is an amazing woman that has the childrens' emotional and developmental well being at heart. She has over 20 years experience as a professional childcare giver in several countries. As we have gotten I would not hesitate to recommend this woman for any childcare need and she and her family are friends with us - we think the world of them. Daycare is structured but flexible within this structure with the understanding that kids are humans, there are different age groups etc. There is a strict no TV policy which is not constant in the daycare world. Children are exposed to a lot of music, different instruments, circle time, reading, arts and crafts and are covering the standard learning curriculum (ABCs, counting, shapes, colors, animals, recognize body parts foods etc.) This daycare is an active part of United Family Childcare Professionals society (UFCCPS) - a group of outstanding and professional family childcare givers in the lower mainland. While raising money for the society to promote education and childcare activities, this society is also engaged in community gardening efforts which trickles down into educational opportunities for the children: learning about ecology, community giving and earth stewardship. This is absolutely a 10 thumbs up daycare - I drive out of my way to work to take my daughter here. I would also highly recommend Bee Hive and Pee Ka Bu daycares as I also know these daycare providers and the wonderful daycares they run.09.10.10 9.36AM
