The facility is impeccable. They have state of the art toys. Daycare wise they would be an excellent choice for your child. The web feed ability really helps a ton to ease safety concerns some parents have. Staff are good natured aswell.
As for their 2.5 hour preschool program, im not too pleased with. Preschool is about preparing a child social, motor and verbal skills for kindergarten, as well as unlocking their creative side through play. Their structure covers both motor and verbal, but it stops short with the social and play aspects. To clarify this more, the instructors use play time to do administration work in the same room, rather than being actively involved. If there is a an escalated conflict, they do get involved, but then they go back to their work. Watching the web feeds often, i only see a special needs child helper (not an employee of kinderkampus) playing with all the kids, both instructors are often on the side doing their own work. I don't like seeing children playing alone in the corner, they should be there trying to get them involved with the other children.
While i understand its important to stay on top of paper work, there are better times to do it, like after the class is over, or when circle time is seated and only one instructor is needed from that point. Play time all instructors should be watching over the children, making sure all are included and initiating the play and letting the children take over. Standing on the other side of the room is acceptable for a daycare, but a preschool has higher expectations.
My child, he still loves it of course, but he wouldn't know the difference at his age, he's just as happy going to the gym drop in's or strong start.
